Notes in Spanish is one of the most popular and well-known podcasts for Spanish beginners.

Created by Oxford-born Ben Curtis and Spaniard Marina Diez, they claim that they started the “world’s first Spanish-learning podcast”, which has since had over 40 million downloads.

The podcasts feature conversations between Ben and Marina, usually speaking in a combination of English and Spanish. The more advanced podcasts are primarily in Spanish, followed by an English analysis of what they’ve discussed.

Marina was born in Madrid, Spain, while Ben moved to Spain in 1998 after growing up in England, so the podcast is perfect for learners wanting to experience Castillian Spanish from Spain.
